SteveKeymaster@edburyβ Thanks for the screenshot… I thought you were talking about metaboxes. π
We can definitely use your help here, since we are not sure where to place “descriptions” in field groups. Field groups are designed to be pretty flexible…. having multiple fields on one line. Where would you like to see the “description” displayed?
SteveKeymaster@edburyβ The main field supports a description… the fields in the group do not. Try using a “label”. If that doesn’t work for you please let us know where you would want to see a description and we’ll see if we can make it work.
SteveKeymaster@edbury– By any chance are you running Multisite? I think we have a small bug there.
Unfortunately, you need to remove the option called βpiklistβ from the options table until we fix this bug.
SteveKeymaster@edbury– You can definitely do this, and we have an example in the Piklist Demos included with Piklist:
-PIKLIST > SETTINGS: activate and Save “Piklist Demos”
-A new Post Type is created, called “Piklist Demos”
-Click ADD NEWCheck out the FIELD GROUPS section. There is an ADD-MORE example I think should help you.
The path to the file that builds those fields is also listed in the meta box for your reference.
Also, please update to v0.6.1 which I just pushed to WordPress.org. While researching this for you I found a small bug, which we fixed.
SteveKeymaster@Danielβ Thanks for the email, and letting us know the fix worked.
I’m closing this ticket.
SteveKeymaster@ehoanshelt– Can you email us your code so we can try and reproduce?
SteveKeymaster@mojowill– In most cases the data is not unique to the metabox system. Piklist should be able to pick it up. I suggest you use Piklist WITH your existing system so you can verify the data is correct.
When setting up Piklist just use the same field names you used with your existing system. You should see the same data in two places. Once you verify the data is correct you can deactivate your old system.
Does that make sense?
SteveKeymasterYou can pass any jQuery option through the options array.
Currently, we are using this timepicker, and you can use any of it’s options. However, we are thinking of switching since it doesn’t seem like it’s supported anymore. Switching would probably mean your “options”, won’t work anymore… though Piklist will make sure the timepicker still shows up. π
If we change, we will put a note in the upgrade announcement so you know you may have to update some options.
Also, if you have a favorite jQuery timepicker, please let us know.
SteveKeymaster@Daniel– We just uploaded our latest version to trunk. Can you please download and test? It should fix your Windows issue: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/piklist.zip
Also, we found a WordPress function, instead of using symfony: path_is_absolute
Let us know.
SteveKeymasterFixed! Thanks, Daniel.
SteveKeymaster@Daniel– Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and for identifying the issues and solutions. We will look into this, let you know what we find and update Piklist as soon as possible. Thanks again… you’ve really helped make Piklist better!
SteveKeymaster@ehoanshelt– Appreciate you emailing us that it worked. I’m closing this topic.
SteveKeymasterAll PHP notices should be gone in v0.5.6
SteveKeymaster@ehoanshelt– This should be fixed in v0.5.6. Please test and let us know.
