SteveKeymaster@pers– This is awesome! Great job. This is definitely on our roadmap for the future. If you want to submit a patch, let us know via the contact form.
SteveKeymaster@pdewouters– Upload fields do not currently work with Settings. Hope to have it fixed this week.
SteveKeymaster@pdewouters– It works, but we’re still working out the UI. Take a look at this file from trunk… you can even replace it in your install. I added a loop to pull all files uploaded.
Not a full solution, but it should definitely help. We’re using it with some clients and they love it.
Let me know what you think.
SteveKeymaster@pdewouters– It’s actually the same field, and we actually got it working. You can see the commented out code in file.php.
However…
Piklist requires advanced treatment of upload fields. Adding custom meta, associating it with other content, etc., which thickbox makes a bit difficult. We are working on a solution, and also waiting for 3.5 beta 1, to see how this ticket works out, and how we can work with the changes.
SteveKeymasterWe love that you want to use Piklist for client projects (and you’re adamant about playing fair 😉 )
Please contact us via our Contact Form so we can discuss further.
SteveKeymaster@pers– Nice! We think we can get this done by next week. We’ll get back to you on this.
SteveKeymaster@pers– This is something we’ve been thinking about and have on our roadmap. We’ll get back to you on this… might be able to integrate in a week or two.
SteveKeymaster@pdewouters– You can definitely include Piklist as a library. Just include the main piklist.php in your functions.php file.
HOWEVER–
1) You will need to keep up to date on Piklist upgrades, and upgrade your theme accordingly.
2) The user will get an error if they install your theme AND the Piklist plugin. The next version of Piklist will include a check for this.
3) We want Piklist to be the FIRST PLUGIN a user installs… so that is our primary goal. This way they can take advantage of your theme, and a bunch of awesome plugins we plan to release., like WordPress Helpers.
SteveKeymaster@jrstaatsiii– Absolutely! We have an Add More field.
You can see it in action using Piklist Demos:
-Activate demos by going to PIKLIST > SETTINGS
-Click on PIKLIST DEMOS > ADD NEW PIKLIST DEMO (this is a CPT)Now check out the GROUPS meta box, and hover over the second group. Each Meta Box contains the path to the file that built it so you can copy the code.
Let us know if that helps!
SteveKeymaster@pdewouters– We’re in the final stages of field validation. Should be another few weeks. It will be all server side… no jQuery validation.
SteveKeymaster@pdewouters– Piklist settings uses the standard manage_options capability, which should be fully compatible with Members. What issues are you seeing?
SteveKeymaster@kattagami– We don’t currently have any plans to place the code on Github. You can always email patches to us with a SVN Diff or Patch file.
SteveKeymaster@kattagami– Your picture helps a lot.
This is an interesting request. You want to be able to reorder add-more’s. We will definitely put it on our feature request list. I think it can be a very powerful tool.
SteveKeymaster@kattagami– We’re so happy you like Piklist… and we aim to make you a super fan!
Notices: We are aware of the notices and will address them shortly. Currently, we’re working on stability and security.
1) Not 100% clear on reordering CPT’s. Can you explain?
2) Field groups for CPT’s are standard meta boxes and are drag-n-drop. For Settings, this is something we can look into.
3) WYSIWYG editor in Add-More’s is on our roadmap. Definitely doable!
4) Currently, working on first version of uploader. Hope to have it available next week.
5) Piklist uses the standard WordPress API’s for Metaboxes and Settings (it just make them better). Currently, this is not supported, but something we can consider for future releases.Looking forward to making you a fan!
