@hartey11– W3 Total Cache has tons of settings, so not exactly sure which would need to be changed.
If you can export your Total Cache configuration so we can reproduce that would help. Email to [email protected]
@eflouret– When you say a list, do you mean the list tables that WordPress generates for Posts, Pages, etc?
@titidodo– Glad you solved it. The default WordPress custom-fields meta box interferes with saving data. This will be fixed in the next version.
@vavakco– Thank you for posting the function. It has references to it that I don’t have. Can you zip up everything I need to reproduce and email to [email protected]?
@bassta– If you remove the TEMPLATE parameter does the field save properly?

Piklist doesn’t have any functions for that. You will probably have to use javascript or ajax to do this.

Currently, there is no option to present a confirmation message when changing. You may be able to do it with jQuery, but I haven’t tried.
