SteveKeymaster@johnmcalester– Both ! π
It’s on our list… but will be a while.
SteveKeymaster@Miguel– Thanks! We’ll look into this.
SteveKeymaster@Daniel– This is an EXTREMELY helpful breakdown. Piklist definitely needs some help in this area, and this is a great start. We’ll keep this thread open so we can get other comments, but I think your breakdown is a great place to start.
Thanks so much!
SteveKeymaster@Miguel– Using Pig Latin and it’s very helpful! We’ll be moving forward with better localization.
SteveKeymaster@Roland– We’re real happy, that you’re happy!
Just an FYI… in most cases, Piklist uses standard WordPress and PHP functions to retrieve and display data. Add-More is a perfect example. The data gets saved as a standard PHP array, and then you use get_post_meta, a standard WordPress function, to retrieve it.
SteveKeymaster@Roland– Sorry, missed this forum post.
I just updated the Documentation for Add-More field to cover Basic and Grouped add-more fields. Let me know if you have any more questions.
SteveKeymaster@emzo– Agreed. We would probably make it a Piklist Add-On, like Piklist Demos.
Will post more here, as we move forward.
SteveKeymaster@emzo– Thanks for the suggestion. We contacted WPML a few days ago, and are in the beginning stages of working with them.
Wish you posted this a few weeks ago, it would have saved us some time. π
SteveKeymaster@mohsinrasool– Piklist already does this!
These instructions should help.
SteveKeymaster@jchamb– Thanks for trying out Piklist!
Unfortunately, Piklist does not support an Add-More within an Add-More. This is an awesome idea, and we’ll put in on our list of todo’s… but it will be a while before we can work on it.
A workaround (not as nice), is to list out X number of Activity Groups, and then in your theme only display the ones that are not empty.
SteveKeymaster@Roland– We need to do a better job with supporting multilanguage. The issue is that Piklist builds most of the translatable items dynamically.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
SteveKeymaster@stevecas– When you say you are trying to add a Page: is that a WordPress Page, or a Piklist settings page?
November 21, 2012 at 12:30 pm in reply to: Metaboxes disappear when Piklist is in the mu-plugin folder #446
SteveKeymaster@kattagami– Piklist does not support the mu-plugins folder. The trend seems to be leaning towards Network Activation. Even the Domain Mapping plugin, recommends Network Activation over mu-plugins.
We realize that many systems will be built with Piklist at it’s core, and deactivating Piklist could really cause problems for the site. We’re looking into ways of solving this using Network Activation.
Suggestions are always appreciated.
