After posting my question, I realised that I still need my initial questions answered, as the picture on the Piklist homepage has someone logged into the backend of WordPress working on a custom order page.

As you have already created full apps for clients:
Does Piklist allow the admin menu to be edited, to hide page, post, etc.?
Does Piklist allow the user roles to be edited, to change or remove editor, author, etc.?
Does Piklist allow different menu items to be shown dependent on the user role?

If not, how did you deal with these issues when creating the app for Calfee Design?
