When I register a custom hierarchical taxonomy for a cpt via the standard wp way, wp creates a default taxonomy widget in the “add” admin page for the cpt that lets me both search through the items w/a filter, multi-select, and even modify the taxonomy in place. It also creates an admin submenu item under the related cpt menu with a page to manage the terms.
When I use the piklist taxonomy filter, I get nothing–no submenu w/page to manage it, no nifty widget w/filter and multiselect w/inline term add feature.

How do I use piklist w/a hierarchical taxonomy and still get these default wp features to use with it?
