Piklist has a lot of cool stuff in, but not all of is necessary for every project.

For example, the new menu system (as great as it is) doesn’t really solve any problems for much of what I need and so is more of a hinderance then a benefit. It would be great to have an easy method to basically opt-out of certain parts of piklist so I can use the functionality I need in a more modular approach.

If there is a way to do this currently without hacking the plugin core files please let me know. Keep up the good work guys!

@atomworks– This is not currently possible, but Kevin and I have discussed this. What would be the preferred way to opt in/out?

      1. Settings page
      2. Set define statements in your plugin
      3. Set define statements in wp-config
      4. other

      Awesome, great to hear.

For me it’d be great to be able to disable them through the functions.php file (as a first choice) or failing that just some tick boxes in the plugin somewhere would be good. I assume though if you set up the second one there presumably it would be re-creatable easily in the functions.php.
