toucandesignMemberHi,
Great plugin, just what I needed for our wedding website!
I used the plugin to make the site private: “Users > Private Website, Only logged in users can see Website.”
Checked “Redirect users to Home Page after login.”
The problem is now that I go in as the Admin, I am redirected to the homepage where there is no admin bar. Kinda stuck. I disabled the plugin via FTP, but surely you’ve considered this in production and I’m missing something.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

SteveKeymaster@toucandesign– Welcome to the Piklist Community!
I moved this topic to the correct forum because it’s actually related to WP Helpers, not Piklist.
You must have also disabled the admin bar by selecting that feature as well. This is all normal functionality. Some users, put a link to the admin in their footer or sidebar when they want the admin bar removed.
You can always gets back to the admin by typing this into the browser: yourdomain.com/wp-admin.
If you love WP Helpers we would appreciate it if you could tell the world and leave a 5 Star Review on WordPress.org… it really helps the project!

toucandesignMemberThanks for the reply,
yourdomain.com/wp-admin did solve it though now I see that anyone could do that and would be able to change the password for that guest user (written on all of our save the dates!)
Interesting as I didn’t know you could do that…
Is there a way to block that from user to user?
Thanks again!

SteveKeymasterWordPress has a user role and capability system. Only a user with the role Administrator will see what you see.
You can test this by creating three users, each with a different user role: Author, Contributor and Subscriber.
Log out of WordPress, and then log in as one of your new users. Go to /wp-admin, and you should see reduced functionality.
