semwangajoshuaMemberI’ve tried to install Piklist’s latest version on my WordPress 4.5 but all in vain. It just doesn’t install. When I install normally through the plugins wordpress menu, it reaches the point where WordPress displays the following message:
The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure
I’ve also tried to manually install Piklist by copying it into my plugins directory so that I activate it from the WordPress dashboard but when I activate it, it throws up a fatal error like the one below and never activates.
Fatal error: Class ‘piklist’ not found in C:\Xamp\htdocs\projects\wp-content\plugins\piklist\piklist.php on line 50
This has been the case to with my previous WordPress installation of version 4.4.2. I should mention too that I’ve both of the Piklist version 0.9.4.29 and version 0.9.4.30 but all in vain. I’ve tested the Piklist installation archive i.e., the very one that is downloaded from the offical website and equally the one that is downloaded from the WordPress repository and my tests have indicated that there are 169 erros with the formation of the archive. The image below shows the results of that test as run by the popular 7zip archiver.

Honestly, I’m stack for now until I get some help from you. What do you think is the problem here?Attachments:

SteveKeymasterI searched for that error and more than one post suggested this error is also caused by a full directory in cpanel. Make sure you have enough space on your web server.

semwangajoshuaMemberI’ve tried installing Piklist on the latest versions of Xamp ie., 5.6.20 and 7.0.5 running Php version 5.6 and 7.0.5 respectively but all in vain. WordPress runs Ok and even when I try to install other plugins, they install and activate just fine but not Piklist. I’m running Xamp on Windows 10 which is well updated on my local disk C, and I have 10GB of free space on this drive. What is the problem with Piklist? It just won’t install…So technically, I’ve beenl stuck like for a week now, until I find some help from you guys. Thanks for the help I’ve received so far; but I still need more.

semwangajoshuaMemberI’ve finally got Piklist to run without WordPress throwing the PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure error. This is what I’ve done; I’ve commented out the line in my php.ini file that says http://php.net/mbstring.func-overload by removing the question mark from at the beginning of that line. I’ve then this time around installed Piklist from the WordPress plugins repository in the dashboard by simply typing in Piklist and then choosing InstalL now. You then simply let WordPress take care of all the rest. Thank you everybody who has been trying out for me to see that this gets resolved.
