natchrissMemberThat’s not an “official” reply, so you might want to wait for Steve’s answer 😉
But I’ll put my 2 cents anyway.Piklist is under GNU General Public License (GPLv2). So yes, you can include it in any of your projects (personal or commercial) –as long as you don’t infringe copyright of course.
Don’t forget that it was created mainly for developers. 😉
Just make sure that you include Piklist checker in your theme to notify users that the plugin is needed for the theme to work properly. (and they download the plugin themselves)

@natchriss is absolutely correct. Piklist is GPLv2 which means you can do what you want with the code as long as you don’t infringe on the copyright. However, Piklist is designed to be a standalone plugin, and will not work properly if you include it in a theme or another plugin. To be perfectly clear, we just don’t support it and will do everything we can to discourage it. You can read why here. We believe by doing this you are not actually helping your users, and you are hurting the Piklist project.
I hope you agree this is a bad idea.

adrianmMember@Steve – The plan for the plugin is to remain free, right?
I am asking thigs because I’m starting a new project and I have to decide Piklist vs CMB2. -
