Just as a comparison, are there any significant differences between PikList and the MetaBox plugin (metabox.io)?

Would it work well along with Piklist? I was searching for a way to integrate my project with Google Maps and the Metabox has an extension (https://metabox.io/plugins/meta-box-geolocation/) that does what I need, but I’m hesitant to use a plugin that might not store things in the database the same as PikList.
