      I would like to store sensitive data, but do not fee comfortable storing it in a “post” without anonymization.

      I know this may be pushing it… but wouldn’t it be nice to have a built in anonymization system for sensitive data (or is there such a thing in php?)

      Yes. For instance, encrypting data to store the data, and decrypting to display it on the HTML page — with lets way any other stored key.

      Piklist does everything the WordPress way, using core WordPress functions. You can do this using the WordPress filter wp_insert_post_data.

      Any tutorial you find with encrypting data in WordPress you can use with Piklist. Something like this may help: https://torquemag.io/2016/10/storing-encrypted-data-wordpress-database/
