KevinKeymasterHi Guys-
I wanted to drop a quick update. We will be releasing a beta version on trunk here beginning of next week so you guys can get a peek at the next version as we wrap up bugs and testing for a release. Stay tuned, we will post information here when its available.
Thanks,
Kevin
KevinKeymasterHi Guys-
Great timing actually, we are currently closing tickets and finishing testing to release the next beta. It did take a little longer but there are a ton of improvements and brand new features. We are expecting to release the beta next week without delay.
Thanks for your patience,
Kevin
KevinKeymasterHi Harris-
Can you post a snippet of what you are running? If you turn off the function piklist created settings may not save properly if your using tabs on the settings pages.
Thanks,
Kevin
KevinKeymasterActually the upcoming release has a rather nice surprise in it for this feature in particular and we should be getting a testable version out this week so stay tuned!
Thanks,
Kevin
KevinKeymasterHaha 🙂 We hear ya, this was our first and last marathon session… in the future we will be doing shorter development cycles.
To answer your questions
- Add Mores is when you set add_more => true on a field allowing you to dynamically add/remove rows of that field or group of fields.
- Groups refers to the group field type
What are you after for user groups? If its a good idea and makes sense to be in Piklist we will make it happen 🙂
Thanks,
Kevin
KevinKeymasterHi Guys-
Since you asked… we are working on wrapping up the next version to release for testing before we send it to wordpress.org. To say that we have tabs would be an understatement, we took the tab idea and went even further with it and that will be in the release. We also have some other very big and exciting updates on other features as well, for example groups can now be nested as many levels as you need and add mores have been rewritten and now support sorting via drag and drop. I will leave the rest as a surprise but we are working hard to get a testable version out as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Kevin
KevinKeymasterThis currently is not in Piklist but I will add it to the next release (which is huge! so many new things and shoring up some existing things… your gonna love it 🙂
Thanks,
Kevin
KevinKeymaster@anderly – Couldn’t agree more. We will make sure its as easy and as painless as possible and will most likely very similar to how we work with widgets or meta-boxes in Piklist.
Thanks,
Kevin
KevinKeymaster@edbury –
Can you post your meta box file? I tested with your field in the Demos Add-On and it worked perfectly, so I am thinking it must be something else/close to the field 🙂
Thanks,
Kevin
KevinKeymaster@all –
Just a heads up in the next couple of weeks we will release better support for adding your own fields with the least amount of code possible. Keep posting your examples and requests as this will help us fully develop the features for this part of Piklist.
Thanks,
Kevin
KevinKeymaster@matczar – Actually we have found this bug and fixed it in the next upcoming release, which will be very soon as we button down a few other form issues. Thanks for reporting it!
Thanks,
Kevin
KevinKeymaster@anderly – Thanks for the link, we have been searching for something better that what we currently have and this may be it!
Thanks,
Kevin
PS We are talking about setting up a field repository here soon with better integration for adding custom fields.
KevinKeymaster@edbury – Where are you putting this code? I put it into a meta-box file and it works like a charm.
Thanks,
Kevin
KevinKeymaster@vingogly – I haven’t been able to reproduce the error. Can you email a phpinfo() output to [email protected]
Thanks,
Kevin
KevinKeymaster@razu-
We actually submitted that issue for testing today so it will be released to you soon, stay tuned 😉
Thanks,
Kevin
